The York NOW Chapter is accepting applications for the 2013 Mae Millstone – York NOW Scholarship. At least one scholarship of $1000 will be awarded. Many years, we are able to award more than one scholarship. Eligibility: York County women of all ages and backgrounds who identify as feminist are urged to apply for this scholarship. Women who belong to a minority group and older women are especially encouraged to apply. The scholarship grant can be used for higher education, but also for classes, programs, or vocational training of any kind. Deadline for applications is April 30. Applications can be accepted by mail at the chapter address: York NOW, 320 E. Market St, York PA 17403. You can obtain an application by emailing Delma Welch at firstname.lastname@example.org, and submit by return email to Delma. Or click here: 2013 Scholarship Application. 2012 Mae Millstone – York NOW Scholarship
Our chapter is proud to announce that we are accepting applications for the 2012 Mae Millstone – York NOW Scholarship. The deadline for applications is April 30, and the scholarship(s) awarded in May.
We will be awarding at least one scholarship of at least $1000. Last year, we awarded a total of $2750 to four women. Former scholarship winners may apply again this year. Applicants may reside outside York County if they are attending school, but should consider their York County address their permanent one.
The scholarship is open to any York County woman for any type of training or educational experience. While we often award scholarships to college students, we have also funded such things as welding school and driving classes. We will consider any request that would help a woman take the next step toward attaining her educational or life goals. Older women, minority women, and women pursuing non-traditional careers are strongly encouraged to apply.
Please complete the application and be sure to cover all three points in your essay. The application is available on this website, or by contacting Delma Welch at 717.846.2089 or at email@example.com.
