2017 Mae Millstone – York NOW Scholarship

The York Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) is accepting applications for the 2016 scholarship. The Mae Millstone – York NOW scholarship will be awarded to at least one York County woman in the amount of $1000. Many years, we are able to award more than one scholarship.

Eligibility criteria: a woman of any age and with any type of career plan who identifies as a feminist may apply. The successful applicant will be a resident of (or a student in) York County. Students attending school elsewhere who have a permanent address in York County may apply. The scholarship may be used for tuition or fees for any type of course or training class. We have funded college classes, but also such courses as welding training or driver education classes. Applicants do not have to currently be enrolled to be eligible. We are interested in helping women take the first, or the next step. Older women, minority women, and women interested in non-traditional careers are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications are due by April 30, and the scholarship(s) will be awarded in May. See the 2017 scholarship application for details.
